After adding a server instance, I am unable to start the instance. What should I do?

If Cortex says it is unable to start the instance that means
there was a problem with the OS service controlling the instance. Try
deactivating then reactivating the instance to reinstall the os
service. If you still get that error make sure the i365 system user has
the necessary permissions to create OS services and there are enough
resources available on the system to make a new OS service. If the
server is running Windows disable Data Execution Prevention.



If Cortex says the server started but the instance never really starts
you need to start the server manually and view the game server console
to see whats preventing it from starting. Most of the time this is
caused by a bad config.
