Setting up backups on cpanel can be pretty straight
forward. It works best if you have a secondary drive to use as
your backup drive, but that is not required. Be advised that the
backups will create a large amount of files. You could in fact
fill up your hard drive, if you only have one available.
You’ll first need to find the backup section under WHM. It should look like this if you are using the default skin:

The link next to the blue arrow is what you want to click on to get
started. It will bring you to a page that looks similar to the
next screen shot. From this page, it is just a matter of clicking
the radio buttons for whatever setup you would like to have. You
can setup a local backup, or if you have an FTP server with some space,
you can setup remote backups over ftp. The page will look like
