1.) Download MySQL Administrator:
2.) Login and click Startup Variables from the side navigation bar.
3.) Select the Security tab.
4.) Make sure that Use old passwords is selected.
5.) Click Apply Changes.
6.) Restart the MySQL service in:
Start > Administrative Tools > Services
7.) You will also need to reset the MySQL root password - this can also be done through the MySQL administrator.
Once you have followed the above steps, you should be able to add databases into Helm.
