MailEnable allows you to set smarthosts on a serverwide basis,
or only for particular domains. To set a serverwide smarthost, you
would:
1) Open the MailEnable Administrator
2) Expand Servers -> localhost -> Connectors
3) Right click on SMTP and select Properties
4) Choose the tab labled “Smart Host”
5) Put a check next to “Smart Host Enabled” and enter either the IP or the servername of the server you wish to forward mail to.
To set a smarthost for a particular domain only:
1) Open the MailEnable Administrator
2) Expand Messaging Manager -> Post Offices -> $Domain
3) Click on the “Domains” folder
4) Right click on the domain in the righthand box and select properties
5) Put a checkmark next to “Act as Smart Host” as well as “Only relay from authenticated users”
6) Add the IP/hostname of the server you wish to relay through
