How do I hide system objects in Management Studio's Object Explorer?

Go to Tools -> Options -> Environment -> General and choose “Hide system objects in Object Explorer.”

Unlike Enterprise Manager, where this setting takes effect immediately, you will need to restart Management Studio to get rid of the clutter.
