Changing the reverse DNS (PTR) records for IP’s you are assigned is generally a good idea. This is especially true for servers that provide any type of network service (especially email). The idea behind this is that the PTR record should be the same as the servers hostname with the hostname being resolvable. If you wish to have this changed, you may open a ticket in Orbit, providing the IP for which you wish to have the PTR record changed along with the value of the record (ie. hostname). The default PTR records that we put on our IP’s are simply placeholders and we cannot add a forward record to match up with the reverse.
