Nearly all of the operating systems that The Planet installs
come with a default email server. If your server has a control panel on
it (ie. Plesk, Helm, Cpanel, etc …) then an SMTP server should
already be installed to allow your clients to send mail out.
If you do not have a control panel on your server, then a mailserver
should already be installed. If this is not the case, then in Windows
you may install an SMTP server through Add/Remove Programs ->
Add/Remove Windows Components -> Application Server -> Internet
Information Service -> SMTP Service.
An SMTP server should be installed by default on Redhat, but if not, then you may run ‘up2date-nox sendmail’ to install one.
