The first step in setting up Spirus is to define the domain. This would be the domain for which mail is being filtered, and not a web address or download URL. An example would be if you wished to filter mail for user@domain.com, you would setup Spirus for domain.com, and not www.domain.com, http://www.domain.com, mail.domain.com, etc …
After that, you would specify the IP that this domains mailserver accepts mail on. Generally, this is the first public IP on the server. From there, you would then define the score for email that is to be marked as spam and quarantined (along with the quarantine address), and the spam score which would be rejected outright.
If you wish to use the outbound Spirus filtering, the IP address that you specified earlier should match the IP that your server sends mail out from.
