Virtuozzo fails to start after performing Windows Updates.

After performing Windows Updates, a user may notice that Service VPS and Virtuozzo will not start on the server. This is due to one of the newly installed Windows Updates causing a compatibility issue. With Virtuozzo, SWSoft installs a registry key that tells the server to use SWSoft’s Windows Update Server (WUS). From there, all tested Windows Updates will be downloaded from SWSoft’s update server. These updates can be installed by using the Virtuozzo Updater tool.

In the event a new update prevents Virtuozzo from starting, the solution for resolving the issue would be to remove the newly installed update(s), then reboot the server. Once the server comes back online, Virtuozzo and the VPS’s should start without any issues.
